Week of October 24

I was so impressed with the creativity on everyone's Haunted Houses.  Everyone loved sharing their house and poem with the class this week.  All of the houses will be on display at the Halloween Dance!  We finished our Sound unit this week.  All of the notes, information we learned, and experiments were sent home so your child can prepare for our test on Monday, November 7th.  We will be creating our musical instruments on Monday!  We talked about how sound is made and shared some ideas we have for our instruments.  We have continued using the Distributive Property in math to help us solve multiplication problems with factors of 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 , and 9.  Please refer back to your child's classwork if they are struggling with their nightly homework.

Don't forget on Monday, October 31, students may bring in a costume, crazy hat, or wear a halloween outfit.  If students choose to bring in a costume they will be able to change after recess time.  They are also invited to bring in a "party in a bag"  or extra snack and drink to enjoy during our afternoon of fun!
