November flew right by! We learned all about the Pilgrims and Wampanoags in social studies. We were able to compare and contrast the First Thanksgiving with how we celebrate today. We noticed that the Pilgrims and our families use this day to stop and be thankful for all we have. In math, we were learning about multiplication and division. We worked on our thankful writing so that we could share it with our families over the break. On our half day, Mr. Musselman and Mr. Papadonis presented a science show. Using science, they made a pumpkin "puke" and explode. Then after 3 years of waiting, we finally got to participate in the Turkey Trot. Many students in Room 205 ran the lap around the school! Leila came in 3rd place for all the girls and Frankie came in 3rd place for the boys. We were so proud of them. Following the Turkey Trot, we all participate in the Pine Glen Walk A Thon. Now we are onto December.
