THANK YOU!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I am so overwhelmed by everyone's kindness and generosity.  It was a such a wonderful surprise to be given book after book from the Students of Room 205.  There are no words that I can begin to express how the students filled my heart with such happiness.  The way that they worked together in order to surprise me, to buy books for not only our class but for future classes, and to give so much on their own was one of the happiest moments I have had teaching.  I remember telling some of you in first grade, "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."  You have all chosen kindness and it filled my heart with such happiness. (And of course made me cry!)  Always continue to live up to those words.  I will always remember what you all accomplished together and how a room full of third graders touched my heart.  I am so proud & grateful to be your teacher! I wish all of you a very Happy Holiday Season!

Thursday, December 21 is our Holiday Concert.  The concert will begin at 9:00 in the cafeteria.  All parents are invited to attend.  Mrs. Agati has asked the students to get dressed for this event (please no sweatpants or sweatshirts)  We will still have recess so students may wish to bring in a change of clothes for after the concert.

Innovation Day

On Wednesday, December 20th, we are going to create a math, winter project with marshmallows.  Please send in two bags of marshmallows with your child by December 19th.

Please also bring in a small stuffed animal for an engineering activity that we will also be doing
on that day.  Thank you!

Celebrating our Writing

We had the opportunity to share our published writing.  We read Fortunately by Remy Charlip and then every student had to create their own version of the story.  We all finished publishing them and shared them with our classmates.  They were very creative!  All of our writing projects will stay in school and will be shared with you at the end of the year.  Until then you can always look for the draft version to be sent home, access your child's Google Drive to look at work we've typed, or ask your child what their stories are about.
